Make Money Online

IMPORTANT : For some weird reason Feedburner decided to drop the majority of the RSS subscribers, so if you had subscribed earlier, please do so again by going to http://earningdosh.com/feed and choosing your preferred feed reader. I don’t think the move affected e-mail subscribers but if by any chance your subscription got cancelled, just enter your e-mail in the sidebar box and you will get resubscribed in a jiffy.

Remember, subscribers get the first go at a few random contests that will be occurring sporadically.

I’ve decided to rebrand the blog as Earning Dosh. This decision wasn’t a hasty or an impulsive one by any means but a well-thought out one. There are various pros (and cons) but the pros outweighed the cons, so you have the result before your eyes… Earning Dosh dot com

The comment that started it all was made by Ryan McLean and it read:

Maybe you might need to rebrand. It is not too late.

I changed from foolswealth.com to Smarterwealth.net just a couple of months ago. Best decision I ever made as my site is now more brandable and open to more people.

If you change yours I will still follow it and it will be open to so many more people…not just those interested in in kind of stuff you offer.

Awe-inspiring stuff for sure. This set me thinking. On one hand, I always wanted to cover blogging stuff and strategies to make money online, so instead of having them on 2 separate blogs (heckuva’ hassle), why not just mix n’ match?

And sure enough.. it sounded good. Really good. Actually too good to be true. I’m sure you guys must have gotten this feeling that something’s staring at you right in your face but you just can’t get your finger on it.

That’s exactly what this was.. an obvious brainwave and I must thank Ryan for this. (/virtual toast)

So, how exactly will this affect you?

To be honest, it won’t affect you much. I’ll still be providing strategies to make dosh online  and I will be covering a host of other topics about the online scene in general.

Don’t worry though, it won’t really turn into a blog where all I do is rant about my life 24 x 7. Make no mistake about it, you will receive value from this blog as you did before. That’s one thing that will never change.

Basically, this change allowed me to expand my horizons and target a larger audience: blogging beginners. Make Money Online stuff has tons of takers but wouldn’t it be much better to have variety? Variety is the spice of life as a wise old man (possibly dead now) once said.

The Theme

I’ve just played around with a few colours and I’ve adjusted the logo to reflect the revamp. Nothing’s final, so expect a few changes here and there in the next couple of days.

So, what do you, the readers, think about the changes that have been (and are being) implemented?

The comment by Ryan was the kind of comment that one would desire, as it was not expected, and it make a solid point. When someone is willing to take a risk like that to point out that something looks like it isn’t working or could be improved in some way, it is not looked at negatively because the listener sooner or later figures out that the person was looking to help them.

Thanks Hussein :) I LOVE the Revolution Themes by Brian and use them on almost all my niche blogs.

In fact, from the time I bought the Developer’s License to the themes, I guess I must have used them so much that I’ve pretty much made back my investment ten-fold and some. :D

By the way, did you get my mail?

First, I love the color of the blog. Second, “dosh” must be a word for money somewhere, but it’s new to me; stupid American I guess. :-) Third, combining two similar blogs into one is a great idea; good luck all around.

  14. Girish Says:

Yeah, even I love the dark-ish red shade. It makes it look so sophisticated yet so elegant.

Yeah, dosh is a word for money, I thought it was pretty common? Well, it’s only fair as even we guys don’t understand American slang :p

Thanks for the appreciation anyways. All these compliments assure me that rebranding was the right to do. :D
